Wales / Cymru

Wales is the land of castles, the land of song and the land of myths and legends. There are 870 miles of coastline to explore plus numerous islands full of wildlife. With the highest mountain in England & Wales, the Snowdonia National Park (Eryri) is a highlight for many visitors.

Mid Wales has rolling hills and moorland, market towns and intriguing stories. The series of reservoirs which make up the Elan Valley are a stronghold of Red Kites. This area is quiet and unspoilt - and has a real wildnerness feel to it.

South Wales is home to the buzzing capital city of Cardiff with its magnificent National Museum, Castle and rejuvenated Bay area, home to the Senedd (Welsh Parliament)

To the east are castles, abbeys, market towns and old industrial areas nestling within rolling hills. The beautiful and tranquil Wye Valley has been attracting visitors since the 18th century and was a favourite haunt of Romantic poet, William Wordsworth. Close by are the dramatic hills of the Black Mountains, part of the Brecon Beacons National Park (Bannau Brycheinniog)

Head to south-west Wales and you have the third National Park in Wales: Pembrokeshire coast. Beautiful beaches, dramatic cliffs, castles, churches and a very special atmosphere.
