This is Wales | Cymru

Wales is a large country with a huge amount packed in. Perhaps most famous for its castles, its music, its language and its culture (not forgetting rugby of course!)

The capital city is Cardiff, in the south of the country - and this makes a great base for a tour. The civic centre has been described as the most attractive in the UK - and who am I to argue! It’s a buzzing, thriving town with something for everyone including an amazing “two for one” Castle.

In the south you can choose between the verdant Wye Valley, the dramatic Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brecheiniog) or the gorgeous Pembrokeshire coast.

The middle of Wales feels remote and spacious - the ideal place to get away from it all.

North Wales is dominated by Eryri National Park (Snowdonia) with its World Heritage Site covering 4 spectacular castles built by Edward I. It’s well worth popping across the Menai Strait for a visit to Anglesey or spending time at the beaches of the Llyn peninsula.
